Their birthdays are both on the 8th day of the month. In China, we were family # 8 in our travel group, and in Chinese culture, the #8 is considered a lucky number similar to the #7 in our culture. We adopted our son from Guatemala 3 years ago and though they didn't require two trips, many people highly recommended it and we were able to make it happen.
