It is just shreds of soft yarn now, but I still have it in a box. I would hate when my mom would wash it because it didn't "smell" the same. Stopping by or wordless Wednesday and following. I live amidst chaos myself, with a husband, 4 kids, a dog and a cat. I just had to comment and say this reminds me of my younger sister SO much. She had a light blue silk pillowcase that she carried. Recently she moved and I was helping her, and we FOUND her "silkie". It was tattered and torn, faded, and had split into pieces a few times and Mom had TIED it back together at the ripped points. LOL!! This just reminded me of that. So sweet. I enjoy your posts! :)Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13272090826501329980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4791688654948426375.post-21290141230834974462010-06-21T22:41:06.984-07:002010-06-21T22:41:06.984-07:00Nothing like a much loved blanket.Nothing like a much loved blanket.Southern Galhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06101132263339427001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4791688654948426375.post-90336361213456675742010-06-21T21:27:58.532-07:002010-06-21T21:27:58.532-07:00We have a friend who carried a piece of her belove...We have a friend who carried a piece of her beloved childhood blankie in her bouquet when she got married. Our 9yo has a blanket his Great Grandmother knitted for him, that he has virtually reduced to a holey mess by pulling and picking at the strings, but he wouldn't dream of parting with "red and yellow blankie."
