Dot has a dog. Dog has a hat.
Doesn't seem like much when you read it.
But when you hear your 4 year old daughter read it all by herself?
Utterly awesome, amazing and exciting!!!!!
I posted last Friday about kid milestones rarely mentioned. The 1st sentence they read out loud to you without any help, has got to be one of my absolute favorite milestones!!
I am especially excited for my daughter because she really and truly loves books and this big step into reading will unlock a huge world of knowledge and entertainment available to her for the rest of her life!

Awww! Wonderful and such fun sentences to learn! LOL I'm sure she will be able to use those later on in life! Considering she meets someone named Dot! LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday.

It is amazing when they start to learn! :D
ReplyDeleteI loved this. It is soo true, to hear your child (or in my case now my grandchildren) read their first few words is soo awesome. I love to see their little faces as a light goes off, because something has clicked in their little brains and they "get" something. You know what I mean? Have a great week-end. Blessings, Debbie
ReplyDeleteLove hearing my kids read. I also enjoy when they spell words all on their own. Of course, we've had to limit our "cryptic" spelling messages... kids are figuring them out! :)
