A Busy Week!

It's been a crazy busy week, something every night, which is unusual for us. We try to keep things at a calmer pace, but several things just happened to fall this week. We've had things at our church and things at both the preschool and elementary school. But, on a positive note, they've all been events that involved dinner, so I haven't had to cook since Monday!

I have, however, re-washed a load of laundry that was run through the washer and forgotten about for two days, added baking soda to the 2nd wash cycle and thankfully it all came out smelling fresh!

The debate over the new puppy's name continues around here, my daughter, of course, wants to name her Caroline because that's what she wants to name everything. We have Caroline the doll, there was Caroline the Caterpillar that turn into a moth, and it is a name contender for the new baby sister. So, I said to my daughter, "I thought you wanted to name the new baby sister Caroline, we can't name the new dog Caroline
and the Baby Sister." She asked, "Why not?" She has absolutely no concept why that would be weird!

Happy Friday, Friends!

  1. your daughter is so cute. of course everyone can be caroline!! we had that issue with my daughter naming everything sarah forever. thankfully we got a male dog, so that was out. :-)

i have totally done that with wash!!! your week does sound frantic, but not having to cook sounds great! not eating out all that much, it gets old quick. i hope things settle down for you all.

  2. I hate it when I forget clothes in the washer. I find that vinegar gets the smell out too.

I think you are going to have to name the dog Caroline.

  4. My daughter likes to name everything Joy.

Caroline is a cuter baby sister name than a dog name (which in no way is me telling you that you have to name your child Caroline...I'm sure you have a very cute name already picked out!)

  5. Hate those busy weeks where everything seems to come at once, but having them come with dinner included, well, I could live with that!

Naming is such a tricky thing, I may well have named my first boy James if I hadn't already given that name to the cat :-)

  6. We name everything Glory - stink bugs, hermit crabs, moths - all Glorys. Sometimes it can be Big Glory and Little Glory just to change it up a bit. Too funny. I won't be surprised if the title of your first post after getting your puppy is "Meet Caroline".

  7. I recently discovered that I never named anything when I was a kid. At least your daughter has a name that she uses LOL
